How to do I enable lockdown settings?

Learn how to improve testing integrity by locking down your students' browsers.

On any Derivita assignment, you can turn on lockdown settings in order to

Prevent copying and pasting
Keep students from looking at other pages
Give students access to an on-screen calculator

and more.

Heads up: there are stricter system requirements for assignments that use lockdown.

We recommend giving a practice test before using Proctorio on a real exam, so you and your students can get the extension up and running and get familiar with the settings.

Turning on lockdown

Open the assignment, then click the pencil icon to edit it:
Scroll down to Focus Controls and select Proctorio:
Choose the lockdown options. You can see a description of any option by hovering over it
Click Save
