What is Proctorio? Who uses it and why?
Proctorio powers Derivita's lockdown features. Teachers may choose to turn these settings on for any Derivita assignment. They prevent the student from doing things like copying and pasting answers, printing the assignment, or looking at other pages while working.
Which devices are compatible?
Students must use a laptop or desktop running Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Installing the browser extension
If students will use devices provided by the school, install the Proctorio extension for them. You can find it at getproctorio.com.
Allowing it through your network filter
If you filter students' internet access, you'll need to let to Proctorio's domains through.
If these domains are blocked, students may be unable to complete the assignment.
If you use a proxy filter, allow unproxied access to these domains, to prevent Proctorio from trying to secure its connection by turning off the proxy.
