Derivita Blueprint Analysis and FAQ
Derivita's Blueprint Analysis turns your data into a clear roadmap for instruction to help increase student growth and success
Derivita Readiness Score
The Readiness Score is a 0-100 score that helps educators understand how prepared a student is for all blueprint-aligned content (i.e. typically content that appears on a state test).
The Readiness Score is calculated based on quizzes, exams, checkpoints, and benchmarks (not including homework) and is mapped to all of the standards on a blueprint. The Readiness Score becomes more accurate as more standards are assessed across the year.

Derivita Impact Score
The Impact Score helps answer the question:
"Which standards have the biggest effect on a student’s overall Readiness Score?"
While the Readiness Score tells us how ready a student is, the Impact Score tells us WHY — by breaking the Readiness Score down into specific standards that had a positive or negative contribution to a student’s Readiness Score.

FAQ: Blueprint Analysis
Why don’t I see any data in Blueprint Analysis?
If no data appears, it’s usually because no quizzes or exams have been administered yet on the standards mapped to the blueprint. Blueprint Analysis uses only quiz and exam data that’s mapped to blueprint standards. Homework and practice assignments are not included.
How are Student Blueprint Focus Areas ordered?
Focus areas are listed from left to right in order of priority, with the left-most standard being the most important.
These represent the standards that have the greatest impact on a student’s overall readiness.
Why does the Blueprint Summary show all areas weighted at 100%?
This means that each standard domain is weighted equally.
When blueprint weights total 100% across all domains, the system distributes equal value to each domain rather than applying custom weights.
Can courses for different subjects be combined into one Blueprint Analysis?
Blueprints are linked to subjects. To compare performance across courses, each course must be mapped to the same subject.
If your district uses a SIS integration, subject mappings come directly from your SIS. At this time, Derivita does not support overwriting or combining subjects provided by the SIS integration feed.
Why don’t I see a blueprint for a course, or why isn’t a course included in Blueprint Analysis?
This usually happens when the course is not mapped to a subject.
-
In Course Settings, teachers can set the subject of a course manually if your district leverages this set up.
-
For districts using SIS integrations, course-to-subject mappings come directly from the SIS feed. If the LMS course isn’t linked to the correct SIS course, the system won’t know which blueprint to apply.
If you believe a course should be included in Blueprint Analysis, please reach out to your Partner Success Manager or Derivita Support for help verifying the course mapping.
