How do "Check Answer" and "Try Similar Question" affect students' grades?
Learn what these buttons are for and how they affect your students' scores.
When a student is ready to submit their response, they can click "Check Answer" to have it automatically graded and receive feedback.
By default, each student has three attempts on each version of a question, but you can adjust this in the Derivita assignment settings.
Once they've used all three attempts on a specific question, students can click "Try Similar Question", which will give them a new randomized version of the question and three more attempts.
Trying similar questions will never make a student's grade go down, because Derivita always uses the highest score.
