Learn how to quickly allow your student to retake a quiz or exam using "Grant Retake"
If you need to allow a student to make up a quiz or exam, an easy way to accomplish this is by utilizing "Grant Retake". The "Grant Retake" option resets the student's quiz/exam from scratch and removes the due date, all in one click.

Steps to using "Grant Retake":
1. Open the Derivita quiz or exam
2. Select "Students" at the top right and toggle on "Show Details"
3. Click the 3-dots menu next tot he student that needs a retake
4. Select "Grant Retake"
You will then see a message letting you know that the student will be able to restart from scratch and that the student must click "Submit" for their score to be recorded.
Please note: Grant Retake will always reset the student's quiz/exam for them to start from scratch. If you want your student to pick up where they left off, select "Reset Student Exam" instead.
If the Grant Retake button is grayed out for a student, it simply means they never opened it before the due date passed so there's nothing to. Just extend the due date for that student instead.
Important! When using "Grant Retake" the student must click "submit" for their score to be recorded and to end their quiz/exam. If the student forgets, you can use "Collect Quiz/Exam" from their 3-dots menu.
