Learn how to enable and use Exam Lobby on Derivita Assignments
Exam Lobby is a setting that can be enabled on Derivita assignments which requires teachers to admit students into an assessment before they can start working on it. This allows teachers to have full control over when students are able to start the quiz/exam, as opposed to students starting whenever they want. It also removes the requirement of using a password to prevent students from starting the quiz/exam.
When a teacher selects "Exam Lobby" from the Educator Dashboard, it will open a live list of students who are are ready to begin the quiz/exam. Teachers are able to manually admit individual students into the assessment or they can select "Admit All".
How to Enable Exam Lobby:
- Navigate to a Derivita assignment
- Click on the pencil icon
- Scroll down to the Focus Controls section
- Select Exam Lobby
- Adjust any other settings and click Save

You will now see "Exam Lobby" in the upper right corner of your assessment. Click on "Exam Lobby" when you are ready to start letting your students into the exam/quiz.
How to Use Exam Lobby:
- Click on "Exam Lobby" from the Educator Dashboard of the Derivita assessment.
- Students that are ready to begin the assessment, will show up in the Exam Lobby for the teacher to admit.
- The teacher can admit individual students into the assessment or admit all the students at once.
- If a student needs to re-enter the exam for any reason, the teacher can re-admit them in Exam Lobby.
