      How do I edit a student's name?

      Learn to change the name that Derivita uses for a student.

      Teachers can change a student's display name from within any Derivita assignment.

      Edit student's name

      1. Open any Derivita assignment and click Students:Screenshot 2025-05-02 12.02.58
      2. Click the three dots in the top right, then choose Edit student list:Screenshot 2025-05-02 12.03.13-1
      3. Next to the student, click the pencil icon to edit their name

      Note that this only changes the student's name in Derivita and for a single course.

      If you'd like to change the student's name should in general, your LMS admin can help.
