How do I copy assignment settings from another course?

If you've copied an assignment but don’t see the settings or questions you expect, you can have Derivita copy them over.

The Copy Settings feature lets you tell Derivita which course you want to copy settings from. Then, it'll copy over changes you've made to the assignment's questions, test settings, and so on.

How to copy assignment settings

  1. Open the Derivita assignment
  2. Click the pencil icon ("Edit assignment")
  3. Under Copy Settings From Another Course, click Copy Settings
  4. Choose the course to copy from, then save

When should I do this?

This is only necessary if something doesn't look right. Derivita has several ways to detect where you copied the assignment from, so settings will usually be copied automatically.

Which courses can I copy from?

You can choose from any course you've taught that contains a copy of the assignment.
