How do I add or remove students from the student list?

Learn how to add missing students and remove withdrawn students.

Derivita may not receive a roster from your LMS, so there may be times that its list of students doesn't match what the LMS shows. It updates to match over time, but you can learn more and manually make changes with the directions below.

Add students

Students are added to Derivita's list when they first open a Derivita assignment in the course. So if some students are missing near the start of a course, that's normal; they just haven't opened Derivita yet.

To add a student to the list, have them open any Derivita assignment in the course.

Remove students

1. Open any Derivita assignment and click Students:
2. Click the three dots in the top right, then choose Edit student list:
